LOSTWITHIEL IN BLOOM

The town is looking really nice due to the excellent work and dedication of the Blooming Volunteers... we hope to build on this for the future.

Transition Lostwithiel is coordinating some new projects for Lostwithiel in Bloom, such as maintaining the Library Courtyard, replacing old plant containers and introducing new ones, bringing on sustainable plants for next year's planting, a community area with compost provided and maybe even a community greenhouse eventually.

100 years of guiding - bed on Cott Road with daffodils in bloom

Over 200 daffodil bulbs were planted in the new flower bed on the corner of Cott Road and Liddicoat Road to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Guiding in 2009.

One of the aims is to encourage new Blooming Volunteers to work alongside with the current people who give so much of their time and maybe would like some extra help.

Please let Lesley Bower 01208 873363 know if you would like to be a part of the project... if you are a novice gardener then it would be a good chance to buddy up with one of the experienced bloomers and learn from them!

Many thanks to Judy Dixon who has run Lostwithiel in Bloom for several years and remains a Blooming Volunteer.

Thanks also to the kind support of local businesses over the years:
