COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Abundance
A community project which harvests and distributes locally grown fruit which is going to waste - in particular apples, pears, plums, greengage etc. So if you donate fruit you will get a share of the harvest - the rest of the fruit is distributed in the local community particularly to local groups in need.
Can Lostwithiel and District Feed Itself?
The Lostwithiel Forum Development Trust held the first of its public meetings in partnership with Transition Lostwithiel and the Eden Project. The meeting included presentations and discussions studying the food self reliance our town and district can achieve based on land availability and how it is used. It raised many interesting issues and opportunities.

Lostwithiel in Bloom is having a makeover!
The town is looking really nice due to the excellent work and dedication of the Blooming Volunteers... we hope to build on this for the future. Please let Lesley Bower 01208 873363 know if you would like to be a part of 2010's project or use the contact form.

Community Orchard
Residents have been consulted about a proposed community orchard in The Brambles on Bodmin Hill. If all goes to plan, planting may begin in early 2010. If you want to help create a community orchard or helping to document old varieties of trees, please let us know.
