A grafting workshop was held on 6th March 2010 to learn different grafting techniques including 'whip and tongue', 'splice' and 'side grafting' with Ben Murrell.

Grafting techniques allow shoots to be attached to fruit tree roots.

17 people attended the workshop from the Lostwithiel area and as far afield as Liskeard, Falmouth and Penzance.

Fruit tree pruning workshop

Transition Lostwithiel organised a pruning workshop on 27th February 2010. It was run by Charles Staniland, who showed the group how to prune old and young trees at two different sites in the Fowey Valley.
